About Signal Bluff
I’m Doug Morgen, principal of Signal Bluff.
You work directly with me from understanding the problem through deployment and support. My prior work spans the systems businesses use to manage inventory, pay people, reconcile accounts, and keep records.
Before development, I set out the scope, deliverables, assumptions, milestones, and cost in a proposal. You review working software during the project. I handle deployment, documentation, and ongoing support as agreed with you.
Business ownership & operations
I founded and operated an e-commerce business for more than a decade. I built the software for inventory, purchasing, pricing, fulfillment, and accounting, including keeping stock levels in sync across online marketplaces. I also ran the operations that depended on those systems every day.
Billing and payroll
At EasyPost, I built carrier-invoice processing and reconciliation for billing that had to account for changing shipping charges. At BrightGo, I built payroll that assigned labor costs to individual jobs and carried those costs into the accounting ledger.
Payments and connected systems
At Arrafund, I built a platform from initial architecture through production. I connected bank transaction data, payments in multiple currencies, and Shopify orders to identify purchases and track commissions.
Documents and operational records
At HomeBrand, I built property records and document workflows for receipts, manuals, warranties, and maintenance history. I also built a way for users to ask questions about those records, with access limited by property and user role.
